Bishop Smith was raised in Monrovia, California and was brought up in Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Faith Church, of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith. He credits his sense of structure and liturgical training to his childhood apostolic upbringing. While in his early years at the age of 9 years old he was baptized In Jesus Name and later that year would be filled with the Holy Ghost. Bishop Smith would serve his local church as musician, usher, and leader of the Third Sunday Children’s Hour. 

 

Bishop Smith attended Christ Temple Church of Los Angeles aka C.T.C. Ministries then later Winning a World for Christ International Ministries. While there, he was licensed and ordained at the hand of his Father in the Ministry, Apostle Lewis D. Stallworth III Serving at C.T.C and WWFCIF, Bishop Smith served as Minister, Evangelist, Youth Pastor and Armor bearer. 

 

Heeding the calling of the Lord, Bishop Smith was led to unite ministers from various denominational backgrounds. It has always been his agenda to put aside denominational and dogmatic philosophy and unite under the banner of Jesus Christ alone. It was at this time; he was initially consecrated to the office of Bishop at the hands of Bishop J.T. McNeil and Bishop Roy Davis and together Founded World Harvest Covenant Churches International Fellowship in November of 2007.

Since then, he has had the privilege and honor of ordaining several men and women to the ministry and, consecrating several Bishops throughout the US and abroad.  In 2016 Bishop would unite back with the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International Inc. Under Presiding Bishop Lambert W. Gates Sr. He works faithful in his local council and with the organization.

 

A new journey began in the life of Bishop Smith in September 2018, when it was elected the new Senior Pastor of the Lily of the Valley Church in the city of Lemoore, Ca. Bishop would reach another great milestone in ministry at the 2019 Mid-Winter Convention of the PCAF in Jackson, Mississippi where he was appointed to preside over the 25th Episcopal Diocese of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, the Diocese of Hawaii. Bishop John Smith Jr. has a Passion for Gods People, with an anointing to speak a revelatory word that brings forth change and transformation.
