OUR HISTORY
The California and Western States Council became the 2nd Episcopal Diocese in the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith in the year of 1957.
CWSC included the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho.
Some of the initial pastor involved in the start of the CWSC included:
Elder Lewis D. Stallworth Sr.
Elder Alfred Singleton, Sr.
In 2016 our Diocesan Bishop, Bishop Lewis D. Stallworth Jr. and the Diocesan Bishop of the United Northwest District Council, Bishop Troy D. Dockery Sr. unified the two councils by merging them together.
At the June 2017 Council of the California and Western States Council the Executive Board renamed the council the California Northwest District Council to show the unity of this merger and at the 2017 Holy Convocation of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky the California and Western States Council officially became the California Northwest District Council. At the Mid-Winter 2021 the Diocese of Hawaii merged with the CNDC.
